Never Give Up
Lauren Hill Memorial Park honors the legacy of Lauren Hill and her "Never Give Up" attitude.
Friends of Lauren Hill is a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring Lauren Hill, her dogs, and her "never give up" philosophy. We are honored and excited to lead this effort to make the Lauren Hill Memorial Park come to life. The park will benefit all area dog owners, bike enthusiasts and citizens.
During the initial phase, the goal is to raise $125,000 to get the park up and running. We need your help to make it happen. The city of Greendale has graciously granted The Friends of Lauren Hill a 15 year lease agreement on the land however, The Friends of Lauren Hill will be responsible for maintenance, management, and future development of the park itself.
Despite a rough 2020, which delayed the ground breaking scheduled for Spring 2020 and with successful fund-raising, we anticipate opening the park in Summer of 2021. Every dollar raised will be used to develop the park and enhance the amenities we plan to offer the citizens of Greendale and surrounding communities. In the future, with additoinal fund raising, we envision expanding the park to include basketballs courts and other recreational oriented amenities such as disc golf.
We cannot do this without your help. Please consider a donation to the Lauren Hill Memorial Park Fund using the button below. After clicking it you will be taken to PayPal, our secure payment processor, to complete your donation. (You do not need a PayPal account to make a donation.)
The park features open green space, a dog park with 2/3 of an acre for small dogs, 1 1/3 acres for large dogs, and a 3 mile mountain bike trail.

Mayor Alan Weiss, Greendale, IN
“Greendale is proud to support the Lauren Hill Memorial Park project. City Council has unanimously voted to donate land in a long term lease agreement to the Friends of Lauren Hill Organization. What a wonderful way to honor Lauren Hill and her legacy.
The park is a priority for our city. It is an outdoor destination where friends and neighbors can gather, interact and let their dogs run free. The introductory mountain bike trail will also provide recreational opportunities for youth and young adults. The city of Greendale wholeheartedly supports The Friends of Lauren Hill in their effort to raise the necessary funds to develop and maintain the park. We also look forward to helping them with the continued development of Lauren Hill Memorial Park in the future.”
A place for all to enjoy
"This project will add to the pet friendly communities of Greendale, Lawrenceburg, Bright and other surrounding areas. A wonderful gathering spot for pet parents, friends, and neighbors to excercise and socialize while celebrating Lauren Hill."Doug Boschert
It started with a simple vision
In 2015 local resident Tom Beidenharn had a vision to support Lauren Hill and her fight for a cure by encouraging the development of a recreational park that would foster a stronger sense of community among the people of Greendale and surrounding communities.
By 2017, many like-minded people united to form Friends of Lauren Hill (FOLH), a local non-profit organization. Now, FOLH is raising funds to develop and maintain the park.
